Christian Bale is well known for his dramatic physical transformations for his various movie roles. He has had experience both picking up and dropping incredible amounts of weight when a character demands it. For his 2004 movie, The Machinist, he dropped to a disturbing 120 pounds to portray the insomnia-ridden Trevor. Six months after wrapping The Machinist, Christian had picked up almost 100 pounds of muscle in preparation to play the one and only Batman.
